Enriching Schools with engaging outdoor education programmes and outstanding outdoor spaces
Gro-Organic know that all schools can benefit from using the living environment as a school resource.
We believe that all curriculum subjects can be approached through the study of gardening, growing plants and caring for animals and have created a varied and diverse menu of workshops to complement this.
Alongside our workshops we work closely with schools to design and build exciting and appealing outdoor spaces. Ranging from outdoor education centres with earth ovens and bug hotels to new playgrounds and landscaped gardens, Gro-Organic’s experienced Landscape team will ensure you have the perfect space for your school to reap the benefits of the outdoors.
Our unconventional approach to the environment captures the minds of children and young adults alike and provides a stimulating learning setting where children quickly become positively engaged with nature and their local environment.
The benefits of gardening and being outdoors are endless, ranging from developing a sense of pride and responsibility for their environment whilst also having a greater sense of belonging, to improved physical and emotional wellbeing and social development.
Taking part in gardening can make a child feel happy and boost their development, children that have been encouraged to garden from a very young age became more resilient, confident and will go on to lead healthier lives.
Wellies2Bellies, Gro-Organic’s Primary School programme, provides a unique and dynamic approach to food and environmental education that is enjoyable and memorable.
We offer an extensive range of educational workshops which can be tailored to enhance your schools education initiatives and link to the National Curriculum.
